Der US-amerikanische Telekom-Ableger „T-Mobile USA“ wurde offenbar Opfer eines Server-Einbruchs. Bei dem Einbruch wurden sensible Daten der Konzern-Mitarbeiter und Admins kopiert und auf Pastebin veröffentlicht. Die Angreifer, die zur Hacktivisten-Gruppe „TeaMp0isoN“ gehören, handelten nach eigenen Angaben aus politischen Motiven. T-Mobile USA unterstütze „das Big-Brother-Gesetz Patriot Act“ und sei daher zum Ziel geworden, erklärte ein TeaMp0isoN-Sprecher gegenüber einem Reporter des IT-Newsportals Softpedia. Zudem habe die Gruppe zeigen wollen, dass auf der Website des Telekommunikationsunternehmens ernste Sicherheitsmängel bestehen. So habe es Lücken gegeben, die eine SQL-Injection ermöglichten. Auch die Passwort-Sicherheit sei äußerst schlecht gewesen. Die Website ist derzeit offline, um den Fehler zu beheben. T-Mobile USA kommentierte den Vorfall bislang nicht.
