Today i have made the hard decision of take HackHound down.
More then 1 year went by since we started this new era and we couldn’t make of HH what we proposed to do when we started.
Why? We could discuss this for 2 months, many opinions would arise and many wizards would come with their amazing opinions but at the end of the day that doesn’t really matter.
Like once someone said ….. opinions are like butt holes. Everybody has one.
I had the chance to communicate this decision to staff early today and tell them how grateful i am to the ones that are still with me here for all the effort and dedication to this community. If i somehow delayed this decision was because i feel that HH is also theirs and not just mine and it wasn’t fair just to take HH down wasting everybody’s work and dedication but we got to a point where there is no turning back.
The glory days of HackHound are long gone and they won’t come back.
Either we become a community of criminals or if we respect values and the ideologies that once were rules in our society we end up being a semi-dead community with no destination.
Honestly i don’t feel like doing either of those and looking at pretty much all the communities around i don’t review myself on any of those either.
So someone must have the courage to say it is enough.
These communities are not what most of us got used to back in the days and i guess they will never be anymore. Either cause we are getting old or simply cause world changed too damn much.
Just cause world charged that doesn’t mean we have to like it and adapt.
I refuse myself to adapt to any kind of illegality or skid behavior.
I remember this saying from a cool movie once that goes something like this ….. „better dead and cool then undead and uncool.“
That’s me.
Better close it down then run a dead board or a board full of criminals and kids.
For all those that were in this place in the last 3 years and a half, specially the ones that participated and helped i would like to tell this:
– You were part of something good. You were part of this family. A family that i am sure will keep remembering the good old glory days of HackHound with proud and no regrets.
As owner and main administrator of HackHound i take all the responsibilities for this failure.
To all existing staff members and even the ones that left already my big thank you.
You guys know where to find me.
My heart is with you guys and i won’t forget most of you for sure.
The jonhyk’s saga ends here today … on HackHound or any other forum that i used to visit in the past.
I could say this is not a goodbye but more like a „see you later“ but i would be lying.
This domain will be for sale if someone is interested on getting it with all the latest files and subscriptions associated with HackHound.
If no one decides to buy HackHound a static page will be set replacing this one and will remain here until is humanly possible to remind the new citizens of the world that one day there was a great community with amazing people involved called HackHound.
It was definitely fun …
Maybe i am a bit crazy, maybe a bit stubborn or even maybe a bit temperamental …. i like to call myself a dreamer.
I will always do whatever it takes to do what i think is right in life and take HackHound down or sell it to some new generation of hounds is the right thing to do.
